MATH SUPPORT AT NMS
Your NMS student has a great learning opportunity to further develop their math skills!
Your child has an online account with the online math program called ALEKS.
This program allows students to develop their math skills at their own individual levels.
ALEKS instructs the student on the topics they are most ready to learn and it periodically reassesses the student to ensure that topics learned are also retained.
We encourage students to take advantage of this learning opportunity and we are hoping for your support in encouraging our students to give ALEKS their best effort.
More time spent on ALEKS will yield even more results.
Please encourage your child to be productive when working on ALEKS and to maximize their time spent on ALEKS (i.e. logging on if finished with other work, using a study skills class to work on ALEKS, and even working at home).
We are so excited for this great opportunity and we look forward to helping our NMS Tigers become even stronger math students!
