Choir

Chamber Singers, Vocal Jazz, Satis Stella, and Wolf Pack are busy preparing for the Tour of Schools which will take place during the school day on Thursday, December 21st. Students will be bused from the high school to NMS, NES, AND IRES to sing some of their music from the Winter Choral Concert.

DECA

DECA students attended the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the beginning of December.  Students learned from industry professionals including the Marketing Director of Titletown and leaders of all of the professional sports teams in the Green Bay Area including The Gamblers (hockey), The Phoenix (basketball), Bombers (Football), etc.

We also toured Lambeau Field, Packers Hall of Fame, and attended a professional hockey game.  Moreover, we toured UW-Eau Claire and UW-Green Bay.  It was DECA-tastic!

We will compete in our first level of competition at the beginning of January at the District Career Development Conference at UW-Stout

FCA

Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Fri. morning at 7:30 in Room 3058.  Our leaders are Jenna Hursh, Lawson Burkhart, Ashlyn Sutherland and Addison Hanson.

Breakfast treats are served!  In November, our Huddle Group collected items to put in a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child.  We were able to donate 2 boxes!  Everyone is welcome to attend - you do not have to be an athlete!

National Honor Society

One of the pillars is service and that was our focus in recent months.

During the trick-or-can evening on Halloween, students worked in conjunction with DECA to collect 375 pounds of non-perishable food items to donate to the local food shelf.

During the month of November, NHS sponsored a warm clothing drive.  Community members, staff, and students did a great job donating over 20 bags of gently used coats, sweatshirts, pants, etc.  The donations were given to HDC in Superior who will distribute the items to individuals ages 12-21 who are in need.

In December, the chapter worked with KIN to purchase and wrap some gifts for two children in the area.

NES Mentors

The students at NES are so grateful for our NES Mentors!  We are so proud of each of our NHS students who commit to one AA time per week to befriend an NES student.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Vik.

SADD

The Students Against Destructive Decisions would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a SAFE and Happy New Year!
