Student Morning Drop Off: 

Student drop-off at IRES will occur at the front doors on the west side of the building as it has in past years (Door A). To keep our students safe and to make these transitions timely, parents will not be able to enter the building to bring students to their classrooms. If you need to make a delivery, please stop in and see Mrs. Hissa upon your arrival and send your student(s) to breakfast or their classroom before 8:05 a.m. Parents are asked to please review with your student how to exit your car safely under the supervision of Mrs. Hissa or other IRES staff. As parents exit, please remember to move slowly and watch for children exiting cars. 

Pick Up During School Hours:

If you need to pick up your student before the end of the school day, we ask that you call the office prior to pick up. Mrs. Hissa: 715-372-4334. When you arrive at IRES, you will need to wait outside or in the office and we will call your student to the office. 

Afternoon Pickup:

After-school pickup will occur as it has in the past at 3:15 p.m. for all non-bus riding students. Parents will need to park on the west side of the building and remain in their car until students exit (Door A). IRES staff will be present as students exit and meet with their parents. Parents are reminded again that all pickup and bussing changes need to be communicated to our building office before 2:00 p.m. This allows time for Mrs. Hissa to ensure all involved parties are aware of the changes. 

PM Bussing: 

Non-bus riding students must be picked up at the end of the school day at 3:15 p.m. If your child rides the bus home, they will stay after school until 4:00 p.m. when the buses arrive. Supervision is provided for these bus-riding students only. All other students need to be picked up at 3:15 p.m. from the office doors. We recognize that a later pickup may be advantageous to families; however, we do not have enough staff to offer after-school daycare to all families. We thank you for understanding. 

Attendance & Recess Guidelines:

All children in attendance must be healthy enough to participate in all outdoor and indoor activities scheduled for the day, including adaptive activities for children with disabilities. If you are concerned about your child’s health and going outside, the general rule of thumb is that if you feel your child is too sick to go outdoors, the child is too sick to be in the classroom. Students with a note from a physician will be allowed to stay inside or not participate in varied activities as directed.
